END OF SEASON

I know I have been conspicuous by my absence but really I have had nothing to say nothing that I could say with using language that would get me into Trouble.

CRT (canal River Trust ) has ruined our holiday and thousands of other boater's holidays be they owners or hirers.

In a normal season Noreen and I covered approximately 600 miles this year we covered just under 120 for no other reason than CRT's Inability to maintain the canal and river system that they BY LAW have to!!

we managed to cruise between Liverpool and Anderton (Northwich ) We were restricted in our movements by stoppages, Lock Closures because of failure, stoppages because of bank collapse and holes ie no bloody water, Now CRT keeps telling us (boaters ) that its due to Vandalism, Lack of Water, Too much water, the Weather, environment matters Vole Breeding season? And so many other perfectly pathetic excuses.

The main reason for these stoppages is so so simple CRTs inability to understand the nature of the canal system and its need for CONTINUOUS Maintenance.

As boaters, we have various means of Email, etc. Phone to inform CRT of events of problems we see we have boaters with 30/40 years of experience boating informing CRT of things we experience and can see causing future issues. I myself have a file with over 300 emails sent to CRT that have not been heeded or acted upon because they Do Not Understand the water system.

In a few year's time the Government will withdraw the funding that they have given CRT from the day that it took charge of the system CRT is now complaining that it cannot continue without that support. However, when CRT took charge of about 13 years of self-funding the Government explained to CRT that funding would be for a limited period, and at the end of that period funding would stop and CRT would have to be self funding.

Since that day CRT has been Useless at controlling funds, the waste has been catastrophic, and they have this ability to blame everything and everyone for their failure

OK that is the reason for my lack of blogging, absolutely nothing to say as sitting on the side of the canal for long periods leaves very little to say

We are now back in Fettlers Wharf, It took 27 days to get from Scarisbrick to Rufford a normal journey of 5 hours We are just thankful that we were not a family on a boating holiday. These are the things that the TV Boating problems do not show (I wonder why)

God Bless

Every one
