Northwich

Here we are at resting Northwich

Well here we are in Northwich its a nice clean mooring, overlooked by a few houses  But thats good it means its a good security aid.

Northwich is a strange town, it is going through a strange period in its history  50 Years ago it was a thriving little town with a lovely town center but over the past few years, it has deteriorated. Then the developers moved in, building multi-complex cinema, a large Asda, and many large retail units. the big shops overtook the little man. Now most of the small traders have left leaving a very empty high street and today a large empty retail space However the saddest part of the Northwich redevelopement is one of the best chippies we have found on our travels was the Wayfarer here in Northwich eat in or out always excelent food and service. My only hope is that the guy made enough money for his retirement he deserved it you dont keep a chippy like that for that length of without serving a good product and good service Now I expect the space will be taken up by yet another nail bar of turkish barber and it seems we cannot get enough of them lol

Its only saving grace is unlike other surrounding Towns Northwich has a Bank, Post office, and a small indoor market which really had seen much healthier days, oh yes it has a fishing tackle shop what eles does a town need,

Maryanne came over to visit us today it was lovely to see her she is hoping to bring the kids next week for a short cruise, And tomorrow we ate expecting Steph and Phil I hope the weather stays good as today had the thunder and a little rain

I have nothing else to report as we have not moved anywhere so I will sat by and get this computer charged up

God bless

Stay Safe

  1. It is great that Buggerlugs is out and about and the adventure continues!! It was great to see Mum and Dad on their travels and now they are closer it's easier to see them which is even better. Gutted to see that the chippy has closed down in Northwich, but at least we got chips with out brunch in the Asda's (every cloud n' all that)! Hope to see you soon, for a cruise with the kids xx
